Written a number of children's books in the Candle range, including the Candle Bible for Toddlers. Simon was born in Leicestershire, England, in 1967, grew up in Devon, and now lives in rural Suffolk, with his wife Sally, their three boys and cockney cat, Harry. Simon holds a BTec National Diploma in Art and Design, and BA in Jewellery and Silversmithing. His artistic influences include Roger Hargreaves' Mr Men books and the American illustrator Sandra Boynton. Simon describes his work as fun, fresh and happy. Apart from illustration, he loves to run, and play field-hockey.
