This book is about a migrant family who travelled to Tasmania from war torn England in 1949 - to the "Lucky Country" of Australia which held such promise. The story reveals their life of struggle and joys during their 50 years of journeying in a new and different land. It tells of family history, where they travelled, humorous incidents and of the true Australian characters they met along the way. It also gives an insight into the life and hardships of a Head Ranger at Cradle Mountain in the 1960's.
